It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas

Even as I write this, a wintry mix has hit North Carolina and iced us over.  I am looking forward to a little more southern winter weather next week when we warm back up to the mid 40's!

We started our Christmas preparations in November when we picked out our tree during the Thanksgiving holiday.  The next weekend we headed to Fayetteville to celebrate Mike's sister Katie's birthday.  While there, her beau, Isaac, took a couple of family pictures for us.
With two little guys, there will never be the "perfect" shot, but they turned out pretty well!

On December 4th we had some flurries come through.  It was cold enough that it stuck around for a few hours and actually covered the ground.  When it started, Liam had just gone down for a nap, but Mike and Graeme went out to play (and turn our compost)

Liam woke up after the snow stopped

But we opened the door really quick and snapped a shot of Liam and his first snow

He's looking at his dad as if saying, what is all this about

We have this strange half wall dividing our living and dining rooms (we want to tear it down and put in new floors someday) that we finally found a great use for.  We strung the lights and topped it with the star beforehand and then we put it up on top.  It is beautiful and along with the presents, out of reach of little hands!!!!

I still can't hang the stockings until Christmas eve (Graeme pulled one along with the stocking hanger down on himself last year).

On the backside, I put up our advent calendar boxes!

Hope everyone is enjoying their Christmas traditions and celebrations.  May the miracle of Christ bless your home this holiday season!
