Well, this blog wasn't as timely as I was hoping. Between the holidays, sickness, and life's general craziness it has been over a month since I first started the story of our Canadian adventures. Here (finally) is part 2.
The boys and I met up with one of Mike's co-worker's wife and daughter and headed to the Second Beach playground in Stanley Park. As you can see, the boys had much fun on a beautiful day.

On the way back from the park is a building (residential) where they have planted a very large tree on the top.
In the afternoon, we headed out on another walk to another part of Vancouver. We explored around Canada Place.

The next day was beautiful weather again. We headed back downtown determined to see the Steam Clock in Gastown and to find the Olympic Torch from the Winter Games.
We passed a small inukshuk
The building in the background is used as the Daily Planet exterior shots for the show Smallville and the the building in the forefront has a phrase repeated over and over going up the building.
We found the Steam Clock in Gastown. We happened to get there just as it was about to do one of its long steam songs for a new hour . . . very cool.
We found a giant Orca statue. You can get an idea of size from the 3 foot toddler climbing on it.

Thus ended another day of walking adventures. I will try and catch up with our Canadian adventures and the rest of our activities in the last month in the next few days!!!
